2 feared dead, 80 hospitalized in fatal school bus accident in Jos

2 pupils of Our Lady Of Fatima nursery and primary school kuru,in Jos South LG have be confirm dead.
Over 80 others are said to be currently receiving treatment at different hospitals in Jos and it environ.
Rev.Sister Florence Golan who doubled as the propertress Of Our Lady of Fatima nursery and primary school revealed this today 5th March, 2018 when Governor Simon Bako Lalong payed  the accident victims  a surprised visit  at the Ola Envangelist hospital were they were receiving treatments.
Rev.sister Golan said the accident which claimed the lives of two pupils happened in the early hour of this morning.
“We have a bus that normally convened our school pupils to and fro from school.”
The information I got is that this morning, as the pupils were been carried to school the coastal bus carrying the pupils, developed brake problem ,which resuited to the accident.”
The Rev. Sister who described the accident as very unfortunate, revealed the numbers of people involved in the crash.
“A total of 107 were in the ill faithed bus,out of which 76 of them are currently receiving treatment at Plateau specialist hospital, 4 at Bukuru specialist hospital and the remaining 18 are at Ola Evangelist hospital.”
She said out of the numbers ,6 were staff of the school and the driver of the ill faithed bus.
On what  must have likely be the cause of the accident, sister Florence said ,with the reports available to her from the accident sence,the possibility of brake failure cannot be ruled Out.
She however give the assurance that the condition of the others receiving treatment, were said to be stable with the reports from the doctors,and advised their parents/wards not to be panic.
Speaking ,Governor Lalong said “as I was preparing to embark on inspection of some projects in preparation for the visit of Mr President, l got the unfortunate news,so I have to come myself to see how they are doing as they are the leader of tomorrow.”
Lalong however,prayed for the reposed of those who lost their lives, as he wish those receiving treatments quick recovery .
In another development, Governor Bako Lalong has inspect various projects in the state to ascertain the level of its readiness for it Commission by Mr President Mohammadu Buhari’s visit to the state Thursday,8th March,2018.
The projects inspected by the Governor includes,Angwan Rogo predestine bridges still under construction but near completion, overhead State Secretariat fly-over,State and federal low-cost road.
Other projects inspected by the Governor, were jos mararaba jamaha road along Abraham Taiwo ,four hundred tractors purchased by the Governor to improve agriculture in the state and numerous on going projects.
Addressing the press after the projects inspections, Governor Lalong said he is satisfied with the level of work done and very optimistic that before the coming of Mr President on Thursday 8th March, 2018 those projects which are nearly completed most have been completed, ready for the president Commission.
