Life itself is a vicious circle. What you give is what you will get. The measure, in which you used to bring somebody down, is the same stroke that would be used to bring such down.
Certainly, Kogi state cannot be held to ransom by a single individual, it is wicked, repulsive and repugnant. Kogi State is bigger than a single individual. It is an open secret that the house has not been sitting for a long period of time. It has been adjournments, upon adjournments. Bills are not being passed, legislative duties are in comatose, yet members are being paid their salaries and allowances without carrying functioning, just because one man is afraid of loosing his seat, an act that is selfish and detrimental to the development of the state.
It would be recalled the kangaroo manner in which the erstwhile speaker Hon. Momho Jimoh bulldozed himself into the office of the speaker, impeaching his predecessor, Hon. Abdullahi in the mafia and gangster style, without a two third member of the house sitted, with the aid of a carpenter manufactured maze and gavel (hammer) . However, nemesis always has a way of catching up when the music is at its sweetest. What goes around will come around no matter whose ox is goared. What goes up must certainly come down. It is called Karma! Hon Momoh Jimoh became speaker through illegality and has display flagrant act of incompetence and cluelessness with no direction for the state.
It would be very wicked therefore, to say the Governor is involved in the impeachment. We would recall that even before His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello assumed office, the house carried out an impeachment against Hon. Momoh Jimoh that produced Hon Osuji as the speaker. The ensuing feud was quelled by His Excellency on assumption, how then can he be involved in this? It is malicious to think of! If he is interested in the impeachment of Hon Momoh Jimoh, he would have allowed Hon. Osuji remained by hook or crook. The present impeachment therefore, it is an apparent sign that all is not well within the house. It is clear therefore, that what happened within the house is not a party issue but a collective effort of our distinguished and progressive members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, to see that Kogi state makes giant stride and assume its place in the committee of states.
