Victory assurance for APC as lumbering contractors, saw millers endorse Bello/Onoja candidacy

The All Progressive Congress and it candidates at the November 16 Gubernatorial election received further victory assurances as the Kogi State Association of Lumbering Contractors, Saw Millers and Dealers gave it’s endorsement.

The Association made this known on Monday when they paid a solidarity and courtesy visit to the Governor and were received by his Chief of Staff and running mate, Honourable Edward Onoja.

The State Chairman of the Association, Comrade Shaibu Raji in his address noted that the task of making the choice of their candidate was made easy by the Governor’s unparalleled acheivememts.

He stated that they were confident that the governor was God’s anointed to run the affairs of the State for another four years.

Comrade Raji revealed that wailers and critics of his administration may be oblivious of the governor’s landslide success where many others have failed as he has brought hopes to those who were hopeless.

He said the governor passage of the bill which would assure the sustenance and protection of the forest particularly the banning of charcoal burning in the forest was such a courageous step that past regime failed woefully to undertake.

The State Chairman thanked the State Government for appointing some of its members into the New Direction Cabinet noting that such gesture has showed that he was a classless and non discriminatory.

In his response Governor Bello who was represented by Honourable Edward Onoja stated the Association through its unanimous response have clearly shown that their voice of endorsement was one.

He mentioned that they are a very strong lobby group that could not be taken for granted noting that they had the interest of the people at heart for desiring to support Governor Bello’s reelection for continuity.

The Governor requested that the association should endeavour to report any suspicious activities in the forest as security remained topmost agenda of the Governor Bello led government.

He advised the Association to champion the replacement of trees in the forest, so that the generations behind would also earn from its economic benefits.

The Governor Hammered on unity and togetherness irrespective of tribe or religion while he assured them that their requests would be looked into.
