For days now, it has been made known through certain fora that a committee has been put in place to settle the rift between the ever controversially vociferous Senator representing the Kogi West and the progressive governor of Kogi State. However great and harmless the idea may ordinarily appear, damning facts have been revealed as regard the original undertone and overtone as well as the calculated ulterior motive that necessitated the setting in motion of the said reconciliatory committee, thanks to the good mind of certain patriotic Kogites who deemed it fit to do some digging deep on the subject at it’s mysterious arrival which revealed that the move was provoked by two facts: fears and mischief.
Fears: there are so many reasons for Senator Dino to be afraid since he is a specialist in stepping on feet. Dino fears that it is practically impossible for him to return to the red chamber come 2019, except he seek a means to fake a reconciliation with the state Governor, more so, since his desperate schemes to get hold of the state Excos have suffered severe punctures.
Also, Dino’s camp fears that the regrettable conduct of Dino in inciting public disturbance at the Kabba Day Celebration and his subsequent insult of the Owe traditional chiefs, as championed by some of the nominated committee member has greatly diminished his acceptance in the constituency, hence the desperate search for an alchemy for his nefarious conducts.
As the fear of the evil continues to compound, Senator Dino who has been absorbed in his baseless tantrums on President Buhari, Obasanjo, IBB, Atiku Abubarka, Asiwaju Tinubu, Adams Oshiomole, Babatunde Fashola and Yaya Bello suddeny wake up to realise that his recall case pending at the Appeal Court is coming up next week, the fears came upon him like hurricanes.
I am not surprised by his fears and desperation since as a believer, Proverbs 3:25 has forewarned against such precarious conditions of the wicked. I can only wished my Senator had chosen to fear the Lord and upheld the injunction in Proverbs 8:13 which is to hate evil: pride and arrogance, and the evil way and the froward mouth. I even gathered that the embattled Senator has been running from pillar to post, meeting with certain Okun leaders in Abuja to help him forge a reconciliation.
This much sought after reconciliation is a bread of deceit baked with malice and ruthless schemes to ensure that the constituents soft-pedal on the recall process especially, until Dino Finishes his tenure and in his characteristic ways defect to PDP.
The genesis of the rift: The Judasic venture of Dino Melaye was prominent in the chains of events that eventually brought in the GYB’s administration and for sure, gave him a deserving place to be key in sharing the”elephant” he boastfully announced to have killed, little did he know that GYB has a better intention of sharing the purported elephant evenly, and for the benefit of all and sundry, immaterial of the political propaganda and mud slinging.
It was this humane resolve of the governor that made Senator Dino to manifest his usual judas’s nature, hence his neck bent attitude to make Kogi state ungovernable as shown in his several violent outings and dirty dart throwing attempts on news and social media. This definitely pitches him against the governor, therefore resulting in open confrontations between the supporters of both men. The most recent of such open confrontations, been provoked by Dino’s speech at the 2017 Kabba Day celebration, hence, the need for a reconciliatory effort, which would have been laudable save from it’s hidden intent, which we gathered also to be a desperate calculation to gather classified information about GYb’s government and use same to set in confusion in his administration towards the APC primaries.
We gathered that nearly all the committee members are either Dino’s or PDP’s apologist mandated to destabilise the GYB’s government and APC. We thus conducted a detailed search into the persons of all the members and found out that most of them are great detractors of the GYB’s government, especially the said Chairman, Aiyenigba Olalekan and the notorious Kike Olorunfemi known for sling throwing on social media, especially against the governor and his supporters.
In fact, there are several pictorial evidence linking many of the members of the said committee to Senator Dino Melaiye, we thus wonder if they are not truly sent as Dino’s lieutenants mandated to ensure his yet another selfcentered crusade. We also noticed the sudden removal of the name of one Ajigi’ only to replace same with a media practitioner whose assignment is to ensure the planting of micro recording devices on and in certain persons and places, so as to access vital information that may be used by the Dino’s camp to discredit the Yaya Bello’s government and consequently APC before Dino would finally move to the PDP.
We therefore, crave the indulgence of the Governor to be careful in dealing with such reconciliatory propositions as the original intent seems to be inimically filled with undertones calculated to strip the GYB’s government of any credit. A stitch in time saves nine.
