Police arrest 3 hoodlums in Jigawa

Jigawa state police command has arrested three suspects for the theft of submersible water pump device mounted on boreholes in the state.

This was stated by the command public relation officer SP Audu Jibjiri while briefing newsmen on the command achievement.

He explained that the command has succeeded in arresting three persons Shu’aibu 34 years, Dauda Yakubu 25 years and Dabo Musa of 27 years all from Badawa quarters in Nasarawa local government, Kano state.

He said the suspects were arrested in possession of hammer, hoe,hacksaw,iron road,flier,set of screw drivers and military camouflage which they use in their operations.

Audu Junjiri noted that in the course of investigation they confessed to have been responsible for the theft of submersible water pump devices in the area.

“We have been receiving reports that some people are stealing these kind of devices installed by government in order to provides portable water to the peoples of the areas”

“These criminals are causing a lot of set back on the government policies and program and will be handed over to court after the investigation “Audu Jinjiri stated.

He therefore urged general public to help securities agencies with useful information that will help in fishing out the criminals in the societies.

He then assured police readiness to continued protecting the lives and properties of Jigawa state people and country in general.
