Plateau attacks has continued unabated with the killing of a personnel of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and not fewer than 200 people have been rescued on Thursday 15th March,2018 by security drafted to the scene of hostilities between Fulani /Irigwe of Bassa LGA.
The killed NSCDC personnel was reported to have been beheaded by his killers.
Other 12 killed by the militias were given Mass burial including one Fulani’s buried according to Islamic rite .
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps ,NSCDC , who was identified as,Solomon Shadrack Nankap was said to have be on rank of CAlll was said to have been killed along with two soldiers and two policemen in a gun dual with alledged Boko Haram terrorist employed by Fulani militants who came to invade the natives of Irigwe settlements in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state .
These mercenaries who were suspected to have abandon Sambisa forest smuggled themselves in their thousands to plateau State,were they have find themselves into various local governments in the state to unlinch havoc on the natives using dangerous weapons which they operate mostly at night causing sleeplessness to their victims.
The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps ,Plateau State Command ,Olasupo Solomon says the influx of unknown people who dress in Army common flags are now perpetuating all manner of heinous crime against the civilians settlements in the state .
According to him ,about 100 additional NSCDC were yesterday evening redeployed to Dusa kura to mount security surveillance and watch the area when our men discover heavily armed influx of foreigners suspected to be terrorist armed with dangerous weapons occupying most of the surrounding rocks descend down at night to raids the villages .
Solomon described the gun battle within the Rafiki ,Dusa kura as inter tribal wars due to the used of modern equipment by the men suspected to be Boko Haram terrorist who appears in red ,black ,army uniforms and mobile dress as worrisome .
The exchange of gun battle going on is so serious that our personnel were able to repel them back into the rocks enclaves were they are currently taken refused .
The commandant also told our correspondence that the young Solomon Shadrack Nankap is a very hardworking staff who died to safe the lives of innocent women and children who were trapped on the web of conflict they didn’t know anything about .
Explaining the manner in which the young officer was killed,
“His head was severed from his body, his hands and his vital organs where harvested,then took away his ammunitions ,gun including his cap .
The commandant however called on the government to be aware of the antics of the terrorists.
“I called on the government to know that the terrorist created a hole inside the rocks as hiding places for them ,so I invite the concerned citizens of the state to availed themselve and visit the area to see things for themselves .
We are not relenting in our effort towards protection of lives and properties from the hands of those terrorist ,we can’t fold our arms to allow evil minded individual forment trouble .
In a similar development, the chairman of jos South local government area Dung Gideon Davou said is the responsility of responsive government it to provide security to its citizens as said the unity of the country Nigeria is not negotiable.
As he said security is one of the policy trust of Governor RT.Hon. Simon Bako lalong policy trust and they at the local government level is left with no choice than to queue to it.
The chairman Jos South committee chairman Dung Gideon Davon stated this today 16th March,2018 security meeting held at the councils Secretariat in Jos South local government council in plateau State.
The chairman said the security meeting is imperative following the security threats in other surrounding local government councils in the State,and to strategize to ensure the skirmishes happening in the other local council did not split over to Jos South local government council.
He however charged the various wards heads ,community heads to go back to their domain and educate their subjects on the need for peaceful coexistence.
Those in attendance who spoke one after the other, assured the chief executive officer of South local government Dunge Gideon that they will not renegade in maintaining law an order and to avoid anything capable of under maining the security of their domain.
Those in attendance where, the district heads, the Chairman of youths , Association chairmen, the police ,the officer in charge of STF sector 3, Sa’eed Barelabe,representative of Myetti Allah, and host of other.
