Following the rumoured suspension of the All Progressives Congress, National Deputy Publicity Secretary, Muritala Ajaka by Ajaka Ward 1 and Igalamela/Odolu party executives and the followed approval by the State Executives of the party over allegations of anti-party activities, a purported list of screening candidates for the Gubernatorial race to lugard House have listed his name
The document which was circulating on Friday listed Mr. Muri Ajaka number one on the list of about 16 other contenders of those who would be screened by the party’s committee on Saturday in Abuja.
The rumoured suspension caused several debacle on the political space across the state as teaming supporters of the Guber hopeful made frantic efforts to debunk the news of his suspension labelling it as the handwork of those threatened by Ajaka’s popularity.
However the circulation of yet another document dated 24/03 and signed by the state Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, Mr. Joshua Onoja confirmed the suspension of the National Deputy Publicity Secretary and declared the action of the Igalamela/Odolu LGA party executives as legally binding and in line with the constitution of the party.
The State executives noted that in compliance with the suspension, Mr. Muri Ajaka is barred from party activities. However, supporters and onlookers watch in anxiety wait as the drama unfolds while the faith of Mr. Muri Ajaka hangs in the balance.
