The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has assured the public that it is ready and prepared to carry out the gubernatorial election in Kogi State, slated for November 21st.
He also said that the card readers have been charged, checked, and are in good shape for use. 1,000 extra card readers are also in place incase of challenges in the process, according to Mr. Pai.
Stakeholders, NGOs, security agencies, and election observers are ready to
discharge their duties to enforce a free and smooth election process in partnership with INEC.
Mr. Pai noted that 1,397,786 total registrants in the 21 local governments in Kogi State are eligible to vote during the election.
He encouraged all to come out and vote, noting that it is their right and that INEC is committed to ensuring a free and fair electoral process.
