In a bid to curtail a renew attacks in Dunge and Rafiki in Bassa local Government of Plateau state ,Rt.Hon Bako Lalong has slammed curfew on Bassa local government area.
This is contained in a press release issued by the governor lalong on the 14th March,2018 and signed by the Secretary to the state government, Rufus Bature and made available to journalists in jos the plateau state capital.
In the press release, the governor lalong said, following the wenton destruction of lives and properties in the affected local government,Bassa local government “Dusk to Dawn” curfew has been imposed from 6pm-6am.
He said the government had made appropriate consultations with the state security agencies.
“In consultations with the security agencies, has approved the imposition of “Dusk to Dawn “curfew from 6pm-6am in Bassa lacal government area with immediate effect.
He however called on the affected communities to sheath their swords as government is making an efforts to unravel the immediate and remote causes of the problems.
Lalong said security agencies had been mandated to enforce the curfew to the later.

Consequently, security in the affected local government had been mandated to enforce the curfew as law abiding citizens are advised to go about their lawful businesses .
Similarly, the NSCDC had deployed over 90 of his officers to the flash spots in the two communities of Dungu and Rafiki of Bassa local government of plateau State.
Fulani /Irigwe communal clashes which has claimed many lives and millions of properties destroyed ,and worried by this development, the the plateau state command has drafted over 90 of his officers of men and women to the area to maintain law and order.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps ,NSCDC Plateau State commandant ,Olasupo Solomon has disclosed that at least over 90 of its personnel were deploy to complement the efforts of Nigeria security to help bring the crisis under control .
Commandant Solomon in a interview with journalists disclose that the Fulani herdsmen/farmers clashes had resulted to many lost of lives and properties in Plateau state and its environs .
He condemned the incessant attacks on innocent citizens who are going about their normal businesses and were cut in the web of this madness .
Solomon reiterated the need for cordial working relationship between the leadership of Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria for peace to reign in our immediate society .
He lamented that the number of deaths , casualties are rising at alarming rate that his men are working 24 hours to ensure the stability of the state ,as our men were drafted to the scene as peace is gradually returning to the two communities .
However ,Olasupo Solomon decried the proliferations of small arms and ammunitions in Nigeria ,he is appealing for urgent step to tackle the mayhem lingering within the state,communities to maintain law and order .
