Davido plan to drop album, Blaqbonez lament

The FEM crooner, Afrobeat International Star, Davido, who went offline after losing his son in October 2022, has ended his social media hiatus in fulfilment of a promise he made in December that he would be returning to online platforms in March.

He took to his Twitter and Instagram pages to announced that his next album titled TIMELESS will be released on 31st of March 2023.

He dropped a trailer for his forthcoming album and penned a thoughtful message about the need to heal.

He also expressed thanks to fans and supporters who stood strong for him and others that were with him through the grieving process.

Davido wrote; “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak & A time for Silence.

Thank you to everyone out there for your love and that has held me down. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st. Preorder in bio💚”

However, this came as a huge shocker to Nigerian Hip Hop rapper, Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, who coincidentally had plans to release his next album on same date as Davido’s.

Blaqbones lamented because of the high probability of Davido’s album reception overshadowing his own song when they both drop on same day.

Blaqbonez wrote; “Damn. can’t enjoy anything in this industry 😭”
