A top contender to picking the All Progressive Congress ticket for Kabba- Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency House of Representatives ticket, NIYI Olayemi, a.k.a SomìEdumaré, has picked his expression of intent and Nomination form.
The upwardly mobile, aspirant with a fanatical following amongst the youths and women of the constituency, was at the Party Secretariat of the APC to pick his form today.
The aspirant who stormed the APC Secretariat with his large supporters from his constituency, while speaking with newsmen, promised, if elected will make laws that would improve the living standard of his constituents.
NIYI Olayemi, who spoke with optimism, says he is the aspirant to beat in the forthcoming primaries of the party, pointing out that his experience, grassroots appeal, large following and having an understanding of the needs and aspiration of his people put him in a better stead to picking the ticket.
According to Niyi, ” I have lived with people of my constituency over time. They know my antecedents as one who has touched lives in many positive ways. The House of Representatives platform is one that would afford me the opportunity beyond my personal efforts which I have done over time to make laws that would improve the wellbeing of my people. “
In specific, NIYI said laws that would improve access to education, healthcare delivery, access to potable water, rural electrification, women and youths empowerment would be the core of his representation if elected.
He further assured that if elected he would strive to ensure that the confidence reposed on him is not misplaced, stressed that he has always identified with the people, and his words and promises remain his bond.
The aspirant concluded by calling on his people to remain resolute in their support for him, pointing out that he is very much aware of their sacrifice, promised a representation that would be business unusual if elected.
For now all eyes is on who picks the APC ticket for Kabba- Bunu/ Ijumu federal constituency.
