The People of plateau state were said to have taken rash decisions that bring this present administion of All Progressive Congress (APC)into power following disagreement in zoning formula which they are now suffering.
Godfrey Bawa who is vying for the position of
Governor in plateau State in 2019 elections under the People’s Democratic party (PDP) stated this during his declaration to run for the governorship position at the party Secretariat in JOS.
Bawa said as one of those who were the brain behind the enthronement of APC government in plateau state in 2015 election, we now regret our mistakes considering the abysmal failure of the party and disappointment to the people of the state.
“I was among the people who worked hard for the emergency of this administration of APC led by Simon Bako Lalong in 2015 ,with the fervent believed that the administration will keep to her promises of change under the mantra of Rescue Operation.”he maintained.
He further stressed he has regretted his actions for taken part I have learnt my lessons and realized the old saying that the best way to get things done, is for you to do it yourself which is the reason l am offering myseif to run for Governor of plateau State under PDP.
Godfrey however reiterated his decision to return to People’s Democratic party PDP after his political sojourn to the All Progressive Congress (APC) is because of the abysmal failure of APC in the state despite holding sway in power for more then three years without any laudable achievement to show to the people of plateau as he rates the ( PDP) has the best party with manifesto and structure ,having transverse the two of them.
” l am returning to PDP because in past three years, l have the opportunity to review the two parties, I must tell you without doubt PDP has the best manifestos and structures designed to serve the needs of the people he said.
The Chief Executive Offer of Docan inland port said my coming back to the party is to right the wrongs i might had made in the time past.
He said when given the opportunity to govern the state, one of my major priority will be security, which he said I will initiate security fund that will address homeland, fund vigilante group and compensate affected communities.
He also added that will provide mechanized farming settlement, provision of inland dry deport,Plateau factories free trade zone and plateau film village and others.

Said you should not forget that their are other aspirants aspiring for the same governorship in plateau state.
As he assured him of the party position to conduct free Fair and credible election with all the aspirant to be carried along.
