The National Leader of the ruling APC, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu has claimed that some members of the National Assembly were planning to impeach President Buhari.
The former Governor of Lagos state who stated this on Wednessday during the grand defection of Senator Godswill Akpabio at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium in Akwa Ibom, however warned the plotters to drop their sinister move because it is not “possible for a lizard to wrestle an antelope.”
Dignitaries at the occasion to receive the erstwhile Senate Minority Leader included the APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senate, Senator Ita Enang, APC South-South National Vice Chairman, Hillard Eta, Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawal, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nsima Ekere, and over 30 senators amongst others.
