Kaduna : Sani Shehu brace up to oust El-Rufai as Governor

The Senator who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District senator Shehu Sani has shown interest to run for the Governorship post Of the state in the forth coming election.

Senator Shehu’s intention to run as a gubernatorial candidate of the state have clearly depicted his intention to oust the sitting Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai

Both parties who are from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) have been in the shadows of each other, over the control of the party structure in the State

Senator Sani who confessed that he himself and some prominent members of the party, who were maltreated by the party they belong, were currently hinting on an exit from the party.

The senator Further revealed that the APC of today, “stands on a foundation of injustice against its members, just as he reiterated that the party has failed to live up to its promises and pledges of a transparent internal democracy”

He acknowledged that the then ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were condemned in the past for their biases and unfairness to some of its members and it was rather unfortunate that his party has found itself in similar situation

On his intention to run as a gubernatorial candidate come 2019 which he revealed while addressing journalists on sallah day celebration, the Senator reiterated that there would be no going back unless the Kaduna political stakeholders, which he was a member, decide otherwise.

In his words “There is a Kaduna political stakeholders, made up of former governors, lawmakers and various party chieftains, and, as a team player, I am a member. I am going to contest the governor of Kaduna State, but, if the stakeholders insist on me going back to the senate, I will have no objection, whatsoever.

He ascertained that him and some other aggrieved member of the APC would not condone or tolerate any act of injustice against its members, stating that they demanded for solutions to the identified challenges in the party and further delay in the coming weeks would leave them with no choice but to leave the party .

Sani stated that Nigerians are now more conscious to vote for whoever they wanted, making it clear that he would open the government house to the masses if he becomes the state’s governor.

He however expressed optimism for a peaceful and transparent election in 2019, urging on the people to remain peaceful and work together to bring an end to violence, stressing that he has no grudges against anybody except political differences.
