Plateau State Governor Barr.Bako Lalong has promise to step-up security apparatus in the state to smoke out terrorist in their enclaves.
This would end insistence sporadic killing in some part of the state and its environ .
The Director of Research and Documentation to Governor Bako Lalong, professor John Wade made the disclosure on Monday 12th March,2018 in an interview with some group of Journalists at the Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ) Secretariat at Hill Station junction in jos Plateau State.
John Wade debunked the insinuations of the president refused to visit some parts of Plateau State during the just concluded president
two days projects commissing and stakeholder meeting in the state for fear of been attacked.
“I think the perception of President Buhari refusal to go to Angwan-Rogo as its been speculated is wrong, because of the urgency of Mr President’s visit, some places to be visited by Mr President were scales down and his movements were limited to particular places”.
The insinuations that he was to be attacked is not so.
He however denied the speculations that some government agents were hand -picked during the stakeholders meeting to asked questions that would be to the government favor” everybody where represented at that stakeholders meeting ,and every body were represented, all sections including religious body, where represented and they made valuable contributions.
At the stakeholders meeting, the president attention was drawn to the clash between the Fulani’s and farmers in the state which resuited to insistence lost of lives and properties.
“As far as protocol is concerned, questions and answers most be regulated, not everybody that will have the opportunity to speak.”
“The religious leaders, youth leader and other stakeholders spoke at the meeting.
The Visit of Mr President Buhari to Plateau state at a time the state is mourning the death of General Shagaya a staunch member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state,the Director of Research said.
” the death of Shagaya to me personally, is great lost not only to his immediate family, but the entire Plateau State by an extension Nigeria as a whole. “
He said its on this premises the government of Plateau State took it open herself to be involved in the arrangements of the burial of General Shagaya and ensured he is giving a state burial.
“Let me point out here that the preparation for the visit of president Buhari to the state was on even before the death of general Shagaya.”
So I want to say that the governor Lalong led government respects late general Shagaya even in death.
He however sympathize with the family and those that lost dear ones in the unfortunate attacked by suspected Fulani’s in some parts of the state and promised government commitment to boost the security in the state.
