Family Member Reveals How Maryam Killed Bilyaminu While He Was Praying

A member of the family of Bilyamin Bello, the slain nephew of a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, has narrated how his wife, Maryam Sanda, stabbed him to death while he was observing his Isha’i prayer.

According to reports, Maryam became wild on Saturday night after seeing a suspicious text message in his phone, denoting that he was having extra-marital affairs.

But the family member, who pleaded anonymity, told DAILY NIGERIAN that thought the issue had died down when her uncle intervened and consoled her.

According to him, Maryam picked a sharp knife in the kitchen and waited until he began praying.

“When she stabbed him on the back, chest and groin, he collapsed and began pleading for mercy. She let him lay there in the pool of his blood, pleading with her to save his life.

“He was heard saying ‘Maryam ki taimake ni… Maryam ki taimake ni…’ (Help me, Maryam… Help me, Maryam…) until he couldn’t speak anymore.

“Maryam could only gleefully reply that ‘nemesis had caught up with you’ and allowed him to bleed to death on the spot.

“About an hour or so when she realized he was unconscious, she sought the assistance of neighbours to help her put him in the car for hospital.

“The first hospital refused to entertain the case without police report, while the second hospital called police after she confessed to stabbing him,” said the source.

An eye witness, Habib Gajam has earlier narrated how Bilyaminu was killed by his wife, Maryam and attempted to cover up her crime by cleaning up the crime scene.
