Dino’s String of Fabricated Lies and Deceit

The attention of Kogi Integrity Group (KIG) has been drawn to a fake document that is being circulated on social media, alleging that our highly respected youth ambassador Hon Edward Onoja committed a fraud at GTBank which allegedly led to his exit from the banking sector.

This press release is meant to set the record straight and clear the atmosphere to elucidate the good people of Kogi state and Nigeria at large, that the embattled Senator Dino Melaye is jittery and confused over his “Recall Saga” as he has suddenly realized that he had lost the battle to stop his recall move.

We want to categorically say that Mr Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, is ignorant and uninformed about the norms and operations that working in the banking sector entails, and we will be glad to tutor him.

In order to set the record straight and put the critics where they belong and to also confirm that the concocted allegation of fraud was dead on arrival. Our amiable, unperturbed, friend of the masses and youth ambassador, Chief of Staff to Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon Edward Onoja, has a reputable and unquestionable antecedents which speak volume of his integrity while he was in the banking sector.

Hon Edward served GTBank faithfully and subsequently got a better offer at Access Bank Plc for career advancement.

Edward Onoja was headhunted from GTBank by Access Bank Plc. He left the former on 31st January, 2009 and resumed at the latter on February 2nd, 2009 (two days after leaving GTBank).

He was immediately transferred to Abuja as Relationship Manager at the high value Asokoro Branch, and his appointment was later confirmed as scheduled.

He voluntarily resigned from Access Bank on February 10, 2011 (same day he received his Party’s ticket as Flagbearer) to go and contest for Kogi State House of Assembly as a protégé of the late Prince Abubakar Audu in ANPP, which he lost due to partisans politics.

As a man with high intellectual prowess, he immediately secured another appointment with Taleveras Oil and Gas from where he voluntarily resigned to resume as Chief of Staff to His Excellency, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on January 2016. But not before attaining the position of General Manager, Exploration and Production, of the Oil and Gas company.

Moreso, we want to enlighten parochial mentality of the controversial senator, on the policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) which is the apex bank that supervises the activities and operations of all other banks in Nigeria.

The CBN has a policy that if a staff of any commercial bank is involved in any fraud and was caught, investigated and sacked; such individual would be blacklisted by the CBN in such a away that the person can never work in any bank again for his entire lifetime. This policy is strictly adhere to by all commercial banks in Nigeria.

So, if this allegation of fraud as concucted and claimed by the embattled senator is anything to believe, then we should ask Dino how Hon Edward Onoja, was able to secure a better and juicy appointment with the Access Bank after been purportedly sacked by GTBank? This singular question needs an urgent answer from the rattled senator!

We, therefore, advised Dino to device another strategy and propaganda that will be more reasonable and tenable to the court of law and the general public in his bid to salvage his political career that is sure to go down the drain in a couple of weeks.

The earlier the embattled senator realises that the battle for his recall is a formidable and established one, the better for him.

However, we are not unaware that Dino’s attemp to file a lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking a court injunction to halt his recall from the Senate.

According to Sahara Reporters sources, a panic-stricken Melaye had been shopping for a judge in the last 48 hours that could grant an injunction to halt the process, after realising that his recall was “no child’s play”.

We are urging Dino to look for the best SAN in town in an attempt to stop his recall process, because his coming back home is sacrosanct as the good people of Kogi West had made up their mind to put an end to the unethical, unproductive, disgraceful misrepresentation of Senator Dino Melaye at the Red Chamber.

However, we will advise the senator as a vibrant and wise man that he profess to be to embrace a political solution rather than making an attempt to add salt to an injury. This will save him of the impending public disgrace of being recalled.

An adage says: “A wise tortoise will run quickly when the bush is on fire”. A word is enough for the wise.
