President Muhammadu Buhari has formally written to the National Assembly on the controversy trailing the 2016 budget. Our correspondent reports that controversies have been trailing the 2016 budget proposal presented at the joint session of the National Assembly on December 22, 2015, DAILY TRUST reports.
It was first reported that the president has withdrawn the budget but the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed dispelled the report. Another controversy came up last Tuesday when Senators and members of the House of Representatives resume from the Christmas and New Year recess.
