Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello the blessing IgalaLand deserves By Tosin Jide

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ctually, the coming of GYB is a blessing to Igala land. What the  opposition is having now is borne out of their fear of being put into shame. The projects he has started and the ones he plans to do especially this year is endearing him to the heart of the people.

The ongoing projects like Ikeje – Ogugu – Ette road, most part of the area where the road is passing only knew they had government during Anyigba Agricultural Development Project (AADP) in the 70s when the roads were graded for the evacuation of farm produce.

The Shintaku – Gboloko road to Dekina knew no meaningful reconstruction on the road since it was constructed in 1960s by Oni and sons.

Another example is Anyigba – Umomi – Ajaka- Idah road. This is the road that is at the heart of Igala land. Though Ibro tried to reconstruct it after it was cut off at Umomi, it was abandoned since 2012. All these roads couple with Ankpa Township road and others are making all the people in these areas and beyond Happy.

By the time the projects listed in this year’s budget including Ajagwumu – Odu Ogboyaga (the road to Wada’s village that was not even graded during his time) take off ,people may start stoning the shon (son) of the shoyel (soil) and son of the soil might not  find it easy going home. Really there was nothing to ascribe to previous administrations in Igala land especially between 2003 and 2015.

We must drop our tribal, religious and political differences aside to embrace development for the benefit our generation and generation unborn .

We must keep praying for GYB to succeed because his failure will profit us nothing.
