THREAT TO LIFE OF FALEKE: A COMPLETE FALLACY. (Abdulkareem Asuku Jamiu)

It is common in life that we mankind do make some obnoxious allegations in order to attract pubic sympathy while painting others black. It is also wise to know that while we have the liberty to wrongfully accuse anyone of an offence, the public have the right to either make a believe on such allegations or not based on available facts and data.

Before anyone post a threat to another soul, the former have to be seen as not willing to co-exist with the later but in this case of Kogi state deputy governor elect : Hon. James Abiodun (JAF)  and Kogi state governor elect : Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, (AYB) the reverse is the case.

After his emergence as the party choice of replacement to late PAA (RIP), AYB have made several effort to have a discussion with JAF but he never give room for such, instead he has been on the media protesting and sponsoring thugs, market women and even students to help help him protest against the party decision which he once claimed is supreme sometimes ago in  National assembly as a representative of Lagos state.

JAF have always been on the news media posting threat, affirming his rejection of his position as deputy governor which he was duly nominated for by late PAA and endorsed by the party. The party have made several effort to pacify JAF to accept what belongs to him to no avail. On the occasion of presentation of certificate of return to AYB, JAF was invited for a round table discussion and possibly lay the trouble to rest but JAF came into that venue with over 20 buses loaded with thugs to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere at the party secretariat in Abuja. It took the grace of the armed forces to restore normalcy before the meeting could take place. It is also worth noting that JAF while acting on his own have picked the son of late PAA as his running mate even before the party settles for AYB, this action alone shows that he was never ready for dialogue.

After then, we went into the supplementary election and AYB was declared the Kogi state governor elect by the INEC having defeated the incumbent governor. As a man of God who is ever ready to embrace peace, AYB have made several effort to reach to JAF, granting press conference affirming that the issue at hand is a family matter that will be handled amicably within the party but JAF on the other hand was still out there protesting and issuing all sorts of threat to the party in rejection of his position.

While still seeking for peace, an elder state man and the minister representing Kogi State, distinguished senator James E. Ocholi set up a reconciliation committee comprises of elders and political leaders cut across the three senatorial districts of the state of which AYB is fully in support and doing everything possible to ensure it success. This committee have started meeting and we are hopeful that in the end, we will have a positive out come.

Aside this, AYB on his own still went ahead and constituted another reconciliation committee so as to achieve a quick result and ensure a peaceful co-existence between him and Hon. JAF before the inauguration  slated for January next year.

The questions that now come to mind base on the unfolding scenario in Kogi politics are as follows: Can a man who has been doing all these just to acquire peace still went ahead to post a threat to Hon. JAF?

What has AYB to gain from doing so and on what basis can this even be knowing fully that he, AYB has nothing of whatsoever against Hon. JAF?

Must Hon. JAF now embark on character assassination after all protests and thuggery have failed to earn him the position of number one citizen of Kogi state?

What is the need of all these desperate moves in Kogi politics as if we haven’t learned anything from the death of PAA (RIP)?

the earlier we recognise the hands of God in all the happening in Kogi State the better for us.

Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello have nothing to gain from the death of anybody and will never have hand in anything that may lead to

loss of human life. I therefore plead with Hon. JAF to desist from this style of politics and live a civil and Godly life. Leadership is God given, no one ascend to any position without the support of the almighty God and he should not see this Kogi governorship as a do or die affair.

No one in Kogi state have any need of his death and as such he should stop painting black our governor elect and by extension the entire state on the public domain.  If God says he will rule Kogi state, it will never be by way of character assassination or thuggery. Kogi state have been known for peaceful co-existence despite our differences, he should not come from Lagos to cause problem for us. Since he has rejected his position as the deputy governor elect and has gone back to Lagos where he belongs as a representative in the lower chamber, he should allow peace to reign in our state and stop unnecessary comments that may bring trouble to Kogi State.

The governor elect Alh. Yahaya Bello is a man of peace who usually ascribe anything that happen to him in life as the Will of God.  His focus is to transform the state via equal distribution of resources and good governance to the people of  Kogi state. He has been on the media calling for peace and unity knowing fully that he need the contributions and cooperation of all well meaning Kogites to succeed. Hon. JAF should stop these distractions and allow the young man to plan ahead.

God bless our governor elect Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello

God bless Kogi state

God bless Nigeria.
