The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has replied opposition party claims that there is nothing to show to President Muhammadu Buhari apart of Dutse solar water project during his two days official visit to the state.
The governor made the statement yesterday shortly after the state Congress held at Malam Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse.
He explained that about 23 projects were proposed to be commissioned by President but chosen to commission only three due to his tight schedule.
“oppositions has been hammering that we had nothing to show Mr president than water tank and Tasheguwa to Guri road project that had been commissioned by previous administration in 2012.
He said oppositions were terrified by the mammoth gathering during president Buhari’s visit and are short of words because of Buhari’s massive support in the state.
He said very soon important personalities will be invited to commission some of the projects executed by his administration.
Some of the projects to be commissioned include roads construction,one of 80 primary health care centers across the state.
It was observed that party in the state had embarked on consensus and harmonization since the commencement of the congress with a view to having a hitch free exercise.
All the 35 state executives returned unopposed to served as the leaders of the All Progressive Congress in the state with Ado Sani Kiri as chairman due to their outstanding performance in moving the party forward.
However, Jigawa state deputy governor, Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Three senators and members of the house of representatives were absent at the state party congress, as delegates disrupted the event for an alleged insertion of self imposed candidates.
