The Kogi West APC led by Senator Smart Adeyemi yesterday in Kabba, adopted Governor Yahaya Bello and President Buhari as their sole candidates for the party come 2019.
Speaking in Kabba the Headquarters of Kogi West during a rally organised to show support for President Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello, Senator Smart Adeyemi Said Governor Yahaya Bello and President Mohammad Buhari have done well and both deserves to come back and complete the good works they started.
The rally which was also to welcome over 1700 defectors to APC was packed full.
The Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Kolawole Matthew moved a motion to pass votes of confidence on President Mohammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello, in view of their outstanding transformation agenda, fight against and insecurity in Nigeria and Kogi State.
It was seconded by the Chief Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ade Omofaye and was unanimously adopted.
Another motion was moved by Hon. Mathew Kolawole asking President Buhari and Governor Bello to run for second term for the benefit of humanity and the good people of Kogi State.
It was also seconded by the Chief Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon, Victor Ade Omofaye. Governor Yahaya Bello and President Buhari were then adopted as their sole candidates for the 2019 governorship and presidential elections respectively.
Responding, Governor Yahaya Bello appreciated the people for the votes of confidence passed on President Mohammadu Buhari. He said God has restored the health of the president, so that he can continue to lead us till 2023.He promised to continue his good works all over Kogi State
