Hon. Omiata Supervise Commissioning Of Projects In Ankpa

* Charge The New Dekina Administrator To Live Up To Expectations*

The ongoing grassroots assessment tour embarked upon by members of the Kogi State House of Assembly has visited Ankpa and Dekina Local Government Areas respectively.

The Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata who supervised completed and ongoing projects in Ankpa praised the administrator for the people oriented projects initiated, particularly the provision of water and the construction and renovation of classrooms in the Local Government which were commissioned by the Hon. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole.

Hon. Omiata however expressed his disappointment over the level of neglect suffered by projects in Dekina Local Government Area. He said that the committee had high expectations that Dekina Local Government woud be among the best performed in terms of infrastructure, but expressed disappointment over what he termed misplacement of priority in Dekina Local Government Area.

He called on the new administrator to be proactive and live up to expectations. Stating that Dekina cannot afford to be left behind in the human capital cum infrastructural revolution that is taking place across the state.

The committee Chairman emphasized that the tour was inspired to access grassroot development and the impact of governance on the lives of Kogi State citizens. Promising that they will not relent in performing their oversight functions to ensure the judicious utilization of taxpayers money.
