The Gubernatorial Aspirant of People Democratic Party ahead of 2019 ,Barr. Timothy Parlong has advised Governor Simon Bako Lalong against the cancellation of Local Governments election as a total absence of democracy in Nigeria.
Parlong who was speaking to some selected Journalists at his office in Jos ,says ,the decision to postponed the councillorship and Chairmanship election was a regrettable action because when the state witness crises during Former Governor Jonah Jang Administration, it was two identified local governments that was affected North and Wase LAGs election was suspended.
He explained that the governor should not have call for the cancellation of all the election in the 17 local government councils ,we have critically take a look into its but his action didn’t warrant that .
Parlong noted that the government should have think of allowing the election to go on ,but suspending the entire election process in all the 17 LG don’t belief people today will be attacking his personality?.
He accused Governor Simon Lalong for dissolving elected Chairmen in all the 17 LGs in the state and can’t conduct free and fair election to usher in new ones in the local government.

According to him ,the fear of losing the grassroots politics force government to continued dribbling the people of plateau state. Nigerian are suffering owning to insecurity ,safety of human lives cannot be guaranteed under the APC regime .
He lamented the rampaging of herdsmen killings all over the country which is gradually making the APC unpopular government and people are afraid to vote them because of security challenges ravaging the country.
Parlong said the APC government that pride itself as government that is incorruptible but today people cannot move freely when you read section 14b of the constitution of federal republic Nigeria.
He called on PDP supporters in Plateau state to remain calm but he condemned those evil men using their power to perpetrate all manner of crime in the country .
